Mental RACE Higher Performance Coach Recruitment

We are seeking an ambitious but caring human performance coach to coach the future world champions of Rally!

Are you ready to guide the next generation of rally world champions? Mental RACE is looking for an ambitious and compassionate Human Performance Coach to join our elite team and contribute to the development of the Toyota Gazoo Racing Challenge Program drivers.

What we offer to You

  • 50 days of human performance coaching as a sub-contractor for Mental RACE in 2025, for 5 different Toyota Gazoo Racing Challenge Program drivers

  • Onboarding to human performance coaching in elite Rally by a senior Mental RACE coach with extensive motor sport coaching experience. Ongoing mentoring and support by the senior coach throughout the delivery of the client program

  • Possibility for further work in other Mental RACE higher performance programmes

Qualifications and Skills

  • At least bachelor’s degree in sports sciences, physiotherapy, or strength and conditioning.

  • Training in sport psychology, psychology, or psychotherapy is an advantage.

  • A minimum of three years of coaching experience with athletes or high-performing individuals.

  • Deep knowledge and passion for human performance areas:

    • Psychology

    • Musculoskeletal and cardiovascular systems

    • Metabolism

    • Neuroperformance

    • Rest and recovery

  • Expertise in creating and periodizing integrated training programs, with the ability to collaborate across disciplines.

  • Ability to conduct needs analyses for sport-specific and client-specific performance development.

  • Competence in coaching both individual and small group strength and conditioning sessions.

Additional Requirements

  • Willingness to coach clients in Jyväskylä, Finland.

  • Motorsport coaching experience is an advantage but not mandatory.

  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken.

  • Excellent social and interpersonal skills.

  • A strong desire for continuous learning and self-improvement.
